COMPANY PROFILE
Dale-Glass Industries was founded in 1974 by Cecil Dale
and Joseph Glass. The company began production in an old
boat shed in Balmain, Sydney. Now DGI operates from four
locations in the three eastern Australian states.
DGI Sydney is the main distribution centre.
Stock includes both structural and decorative Glulam. Specialised
joinery and finishing facilities allow for full fabrication
of DGI Glulam products for both domestic and commercial
applications.

DGI Melbourne serves as the
group's cabinet door stockist and specialist, as well as
stocking and distributing the full range of DGI Glulam. Fabrication
and finishing facilities are also provided.

DGI Brisbane specialises in
the manufacture of curved DGI Glulam and rotary press solid
timber products. In addition this operation also fulfils
distribution, fabrication and finishing functions to service
the Queensland market.

DGI Dungog,
located in the upper Hunter Valley of NSW is the
main manufacturing entity. Having its own laboratory
and testing facilities the DGI Dungog plant has been
designed for a continuous processing facility. Constant
upgrades in machinery and technology ensure that
plant production is in the forefront of Australian
Industry. The end result, and our aim is to produce
to the highest standards and the best quality. The
range is continually upgraded and extended to cater
to fashion, industry and environmental requirements.

DGI USA Distributor. In 2003 DGI
established a sole distribution agreement with AUSSIEWOOD
USA, LLC. Based in Florida, Aussiewood actively markets
DGI products throughout North America. DGI benchtops,
in the USA, are available in raw and fabricated options
in most species.
Since 1994, DGI has been actively involved in export.
As one of the founding members of an export network
(Daplar Australia), DGI has witnessed the export
potential of Australian Glulam to such markets as
Japan and the United Arab Emirates. This is an ongoing
project.
